The annual monitoring surveys1 of the business attitude to the problems and prospects of foreign economic activity of enterprises show that in 2006 the manager’s point of view on key directions of economic integration continued changing. In particular, the western vector of integration remained a priority and the number of its followers kept on growing, however, the number of the Eastern vector supporters rose again in 2006 after decreasing in 2000. It should be mentioned that the rotation of the executive branch of authority in the second half of 2006 was followed by some change of the external course, which was immediately reacted by the business representatives – the fact that resulted into the rise of the Eastern integration vector supporters.
