1. EU: review of the list of flavouring substances allowed for the use in food production
In the second half of October 2015, the EU released a notification on amendments to Regulation (EC) No 1334/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards removal from the Union list of the flavouring substance p-mentha-1,8-dien-7-al, which was approved on October 1, 2015.
2. New Zealand: development of notification procedure for food import
In the first half of October 2015, New Zealand informed the WTO on the development of the Draft by-law as regards the notification procedure for food import. Proposed date of adoption and proposed date of entry into force: March 1, 2016. Final date for comments: December 8, 2015.
3. Singapore: amendments to food regulation
In late October 2015, Singapore released a notification on Draft Food (Amendment) Regulations 2015. Proposed date of adoption and proposed date of entry into force: December 30, 2015. Final date for comments: December 30. 2015.
