The experts of the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER) have been monitoring the implementation of economic priorities (48 items) of the EU-Ukraine Association Agenda (AA) for 2011-2012 from November 2011 through May 2012.
The analysis has shown that the implementation of economic part of the AA priorities almost has not been impacted by the stagnation of the EU-Ukraine political dialogue. Besides, the completion of negotiations on the Association Agreement and the initialing of its text in March 2012 have created additional incentives for more active technical work on the AA economic priorities as a prerequisite for further successful implementation of the deep and comprehensive free trade area (DCFTA) between Ukraine and the EU.
The monitoring has been conducted by the IER within the framework of the project "Economic aspects of European integration of Ukraine in the light of priorities of the AA: expert analysis, recommendations and public discussion", funded by the European program of the International Renaissance Foundation. The project has been implemented in cooperation with the Public Expert Council under the Ukrainian Part of the EU-Ukraine Cooperation Committee.
