Aim of the Project:: To memorialize the feelings and memories of children who witnessed the events of the war through literary and theatrical creativity, to integrate the traumatic memory of the war through art into the life of communities, to prevent the transgenerational transmission of trauma to the next generation, to enrich the cultural heritage in the authorship of children and youth, to develop patriotic education.
Additional Information:
The Federation of Amateur Mykolaiv Theaters has many years of experience in applying the proposed methodology. In the pre-war period, we used this method in working with youth and adults to prevent the spread of HIV infection, smoking, and human trafficking. We applied the interactive forum-theatre technique to the adaptation of people who have undergone drug addiction treatment and to the adaptation of people who have returned from a prison. This technique applies the experience we have acquired in trainings and interactive theater.
Therefore, during the implementation of the project, it is provided:
1. Rehearsals of mini-shows: Director Kateryna Bohdanova conducted 10 rehearsals, during which the elements of improvisation, which are mandatory in this form of work, were worked out.
2. Training for presenters-facilitators on the forum-theatre technique: psychologists Iolanta Makovska and Kateryna Lischenko conducted a training on how to become a facilitator of group art therapy for IDPs. Features of the emotional state of IDPs and possible forms of working with them are identified.
3. Training for actors on the topic "Post-traumatic syndrome of IDPs".
4. Compilation of lists of IDP participants and the schedule of their participation in the project for June 2023: 80 IDP participants took part in the interactive theater art therapy.
5. Conducting art therapy at the "Scene in Shelter": 17 participants of IDPs underwent art therapy at the "Interactive Theater".
6. Conducting art therapy in the places of residence of IDPs: 3 trips of the project team to the places of temporary residence of IDPs in the city of Mykolaiv, namely Library-branch #10 of the TsMB named after Kropyvnytskyi, Mykolaiv 21.06.2023, Center for the provision of assistance to the population of MDYUSSHOI 22.06.2023, Mishkovo-Pogorilivsk general educational sanatorium-boarding school 25.06.2023. Conducting art therapy "Interactive theater". Organization of coffee breaks. 65 participants of IDPs underwent art therapy "Interactive Theater".
7. Conducting art therapy on the basis of "Scenes in Shelter" on July 28, August 9, 10, 30, 31, 2023.
