Aim of the Project:carry out a 4-month pilot project to provide quality legal assistance to applicants from identified target groups totalling at least 400 hours by providing oral and written legal advice, preparing procedural documents and representing the interests of individuals in state bodies, enterprises, institutions, organizations, as well as conducting an education campaign and mentoring for at least 15 aspiring lawyers, develop a methodology for further scaling up the program to 7,000 hours of legal assistance and analyse specific cases by an expert group of lawyers with the aim of improving legislation on cases related to the consequences of Russian aggression.
Additional Information:
Because of the full-scale russian aggression, the number of cases in which Ukrainians need legal assistance has significantly increased, while their financial situation has significantly deteriorated. According to the survey, 81.8% answered that they do not have access to quality legal aid. At the same time, there is a decline in opportunities for practicing law students and a lack of mentoring support.

Completed the full volume of consultations, 400 + hours
The planned points of the communication campaign were completed, which ensured communication with the public and popularization of the project;
Three streams of the workshop were held, which ensured the learning process for young specialists.
A strategic partner (Coordinating Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine) was also involved, which ensured access to a significant number of the most relevant cases regarding legal assistance to target groups.
4 round tables were held with discussion of cases of legal aid, search for optimal solutions
An expert discussion was held and recommendations on improving legislation in the field of military law were recorded.
The opening and final press conferences were held, an interview with an expert was held, and there are relevant publications in the mass media
8 educational articles on the most relevant cases have been published
A survey of beneficiaries: applicants for legal aid and students who completed internships was conducted.
The number of processed applications from beneficiaries is 208 applications.
