Aim of the Project: to facilitate master classes on robotics and programming for children aged 6 to 15 in order to alleviate the negative consequences of war.
Additional Information: during the war, both children and their parents are in a stressful situation and in conditions of uncertainty, need mental discharge, inclusion in life, restart, planning for the future. The children of internally displaced persons lack access to quality and innovative methods of education, skills and knowledge that were available in times of peace. Children need interesting hobbies, which could be a boost to look to the future, the choice of education plan and occupation.
During master classes in robotics and programming, children will acquire the following skills in an exciting way: design and programming of robots, testing, teamwork, critical thinking, algorithmic thinking. Children will immerse themselves in the fascinating world of robotics and programming, build, program and test their first robots, and figure out that it is easy and exciting. They will gain confidence in their powers, motivating them to continue their studies in this area, considering the possibility in the future of acquiring a profession in the field of information technology, robotics and artificial intelligence. Children will receive psychological discharge, additional social skills, peer communication, distraction from stress and uncertainty. Also, in support of additional motivation and acquisition of additional skills, each master class participant will receive a motivational, cognitive, developing book as a gift from the project.
Our organisation has a unique experience with innovative educational methods. It has a successful background in preparing children’s teams for the All-Ukrainian and International Robotics Olympiads. Thus, our students became laureates of the All-Ukrainian Robotics Olympiad in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 years, and took part in the international final of the WRO 2019 World Robotics Competition Hungary, winners (2 place) WRO 2020, Canada, winners (5 place) WRO 2021 online.
