Aim of the Project: to strengthen the capacity of the public organisation to lead humanitarian and volunteer initiatives through the consolidation of citizens and civil society organisations around volunteer activities in the Rivne region.
Additional Information:since the beginning of the war, the people of the region have been actively involved in organizing the defence of Ukraine and helping the victims of the fighting. However, over time, this activity tends to decline due to the depletion of physical and material resources of active citizens and their organizations.
The activities of the organizations will be of great assistance to displaced persons and other victims of war in the region. These measures will help reduce the negative consequences of war in communities in the region.
Project activities will directly involve members of public associations – volunteers, social workers, aid workers, management and institutions. Their activities will aim at providing assistance to internally displaced persons, families of ATO/OOS participants, and families of war victims, injured veterans.
Project results:
- humanitarian assistance (food, clothing, footwear, hygiene products, medical supplies, etc.) to 11472 families were made.
- social support to 352 persons (assistance: in obtaining financial assistance from various non-governmental organizations, household items that are not available in the volunteer centre, such as furniture, children and wheelchairs, etc.; finding housing; in obtaining medical assistance; restoring lost documents; obtaining advice on state benefits, etc.). Primary psychological assistance to war victims - 245 persons, including telephone consultations and online.
- Conducting two workshops on patriotic themes for children of internally displaced people.
