    Project status: completed 

    Aim of the Project: establishing a dialogue Community-Business-Government and creating conditions for rapid and sustainable development of entrepreneurship in communities through the creation of the Mobile Business Support Center for entrepreneurs and the Economic Development Roadmap of Kahovsky district.  

    Additional Information.The Project is aimed for systematic practical work in all territorial communities of Kahovsky district to improve economic development and to build confidence in business-community-authorities cooperation. The Mobile Business Support Center intends to help and accumulate the capacity of all stakeholders, including the Kahovsky District State Administration (RDA) and the Kahovsky Council. It is planned to create a mentoring club from operating business and initiate a culture of corporate social responsibility as a permanent activity for large business; to conduct strategic sessions through modern facilitation methods, which have been used by business corporations, but are inaccessible to territorial communities; and to organize business education trainings. The final product of the project - created road map of economic development of the Kahovsky district. 

    As a result of the start of large-scale war of the russian federation against Ukraine, the aim and objectives of the project have been modified.

    Implementation Project Area (Modified):communities of Kahovsky, partly Henichesk and Beryslav districts of the Kherson region 

    Modified aim of the Project:to create the conditions for entrepreneurs to revive their economy and develop a minimum standard of living for the residents of the Kahovsky district in the Kherson region under the conditions of occupation. 

    Additional Information:  

    1. Practical support to target audiences through charitable and humanitarian activities. 

    The direction includes the following activities:   

    • Seeking donors and sponsors; 
    • Purchase goods from farmers in Kherson region; 
    • Logistics of goods at distribution points and in organizations requiring help; 
    • Communicate with social services and organizations who require assistance to establish lists of needs and relationships with the assistance provided; 
    • Provision of medicines and other goods not produced in the area. 
    1. Reduction of economic losses in the region by the establishment of a system of internal horizontal economic relations, establishing new communications for processing, production and logistics and supporting people who wish to create their own business in areas of new citizen needs. 

    Creating a community resource map with lists of: 

    • Available goods, 
    • Available raw materials, equipment and enterprise for processing, 
    • People who are ready to work, 
    • People who are already working, 
    • People who are willing to sell. 

    Providing advice and information on the needs and resources available to those who wish to assume responsibility for the creation of new products and goods, processing, logistics and trade. Building communication between communities and emerging entrepreneurs. 

    Project results: 

    • 3 community strategy sessions and 3 two-day entrepreneurship and business planning trainings were organised. 

    • A fundraising campaign on buying products from local farmers of Kherson region to support producers and processors of the occupied territories and social groups of the population was carried out. 

    • 7,961 food kits were distributed. 

    • Interviews with representatives of 20 local authorities were carried out. 

    • More than 120 meetings with residents of the following communities: Kahovska, Tavriyska, Novo-Kahovska, Prysyvaska, Hrystivska, Chaplynska, Beryslavska, Khersonska, Skadovska, Oleshkivskawere organized.
