Aim of the Project: to strengthen democratic processes in Ukraine through the communication challenges transformation caused by COVID-19 pandemic into new opportunities for the efficient interaction between the government and the public.
Additional Information:
The project was directed towards the following key issues:

strengthening the role of the public in the processes of democratic society creation at the level of Ternopil region by increasing the efficiency of interaction between the government and local self-government bodies with thecivil society institutions;

identifying, analysing and solving key problems of communication between the authorities and public that took place in the COVID-19 pandemic through the elaboration of specific practical recommendations of reducing negative consequences and disseminating positive experience of specified activities applied onthe local and regional authorities, territorial communities of Ternopil region;

identifying current prospects of communication challenges transformation during the pandemic into the development opportunities of new areas of interaction betweenthe government and the public.

39 responses from government and local government officials responsible for public relations to the survey on the changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic were received and processed. |
The analytical report "Challenges and opportunities research on the communication interaction between the public and the authorities of Ternopil region during the COVID-19 pandemic" was elaborated. |

15 responses from the public councils' members and 17 responses from the expert councils to the representation for public councils' survey were received and processed. |
The round table discussion "Local authorities and the public of Ternopil region: effective interaction during the pandemic" was organized.Stakeholders were involved as well. |

40 responses to the questionnaires for Ternopil city and Ternopil region CSOs were received and processed. |
