  Short campaign against illiteracy on exchange rate?

  At the end of 2013 necessary hryvnia devaluation was considered at the level of 9-9,5 USD. In March and April 2014 after the Maidan events and civil unrest in the optimistic scenario the "equilibrium" rate was considered at 10-11 USD, more pessimistic - 12-13 USD. However, production and export in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions collapsed in the summer.

  How to get a billion of dollars and lose twelve?

  Considering the introduction of an additional import duty (bills №1562 and №1563 of 22 December 2014) in the context of cooperation with the WTO, the IMF and the EU, we have concluded that the measure formally complied with the provisions of the WTO agreements, although there may be no questions about the letter, but "spirit" of WTO rules. Also in Ukraine there may be problems in cooperation with the IMF and the EU.
