Banks expect US dollar exchange rate to remain within the range of 8.10-8.20 UAH to 1 USD by the end of April this year. The euro will not go beyond 11 UAH according to most banks, although some allow the price of 1 euro to range from 11 to 11.20 USD. This has been shown in the first banks quarterly survey in 2013 held by the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting.
Majority of surveyed banks predict that US dollar exchange rate will remain at current levels by the end of April 2013. 90% of banks predict that the US dollar will be sold at the rate of 8.10-8.20 USD. And 10% of banks suggest that the exchange rate will be slightly lower: within the range of 8-8.10 USD.
Euro exchange rate is more difficult for banks to predict. 60% of banks believe that its selling rate will not exceed 11 UAH to 1 euro by the end of April 2013. However, other versions have been voiced, too. 30% of banks have expressed the view that the euro will cost from 11 to 11.20 UAH, and 10% suggested the interval of 11.20-11.50 UAH to 1 euro by the end of April.
