  • Problems and achievements of the first year of COVID-19 immunisation in Cherkasy region

    Aim of the Project:immunisation recognition by Cherkasy region population as the most effective protectionagainst the spread of coronavirus, tackling myths and misinformation regarding consequences and purpose of the immunisation, providing truthful information on the vaccination need by medical experts and personal stories of vaccinated people of Cherkasy region.  

    Additional Information: latest sociological research conducted in early autumn by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation showed that more than 50% of Ukrainians do not want to be vaccinated. 

    Within the Project, it is planned to produce and disseminate information materials (articles, videos, game tests, social network activities in) that will provide trusted information and recognize fake news, as well as form the need and the importance of immunisation that is the most effective method of counteracting the spread of the coronavirus. Information materials will fight misinformation and fears about COVID-19 and show personal stories of those people living in Cherkasy region who are vaccinated. 

    Target Audience of the Project: 18 to 30 age group, 30 to 45 age group and 45 + age group. Information materials will be sent in the correspondence to the interests of each group. The audience of 18-30 years prefers short videos in the format of Instagram or TikTok, they are intended for content in a similar format. A 30-45-year-old audience is committed to video materials and video stories up to 15 minutes. At the same time, for a 45+ audience, the format of text publications that can be duplicated in printed media, may be acceptable.  

    As a result of the start of large-scale war of the russian federation against Ukraine, the aim and objectives of the project have been modified. 

    Name: A Joint path toward victory

    Modified aim of the Project:to providereal information to the inhabitants of the Cherkassy region about the situation on the front and in the Cherkassy region, which now performs the back function. 

    Additional information: 

    • Regular 18000.com.ua website filling, content adaptation for social networks for three months about the situation in the Cherkassy region, on the front, as well as unleashing Russian fake news.  

    • Nine live streams will take place in the studio "18000", guests who will be soldiers, volunteers, government officials responsible for the situation in the Cherkasy region. Placement of streams on the site 18000.com.ua, in Facebook and YouTube. 

    • Writing of nine coarse publications, whose source will be previously made in direct streams, as well as their placement on the site 18000.com.ua.  

    • Drafting of 18 briefing notes based on direct streams, as well as their placement on 18000.com.ua. 

    Project results: 

    • The article "Booster vaccination: answers to key questions and experiences of previously vaccinated people", as well as the video "Fake vaccines: are there chips in COVID-19 vaccine?" were created and published. 
    • 2,102 news articles about the situation in the Cherkasy region, the front, and the elimination of russian fakes at 18000.com.ua were published during 1-30 April.
    • 9 live broadcasts with military people, volunteers, civil servants responsible for the situation in the Cherkasy region were conducted.  
    • 27 articles on the organization's website on live broadcasts and other important issues were published.
