  • Civil Society for Democratisation

    Objective: 

    Project aims tp make civil society organisations more capable to advocate democratisation reforms on regional and local levels

    Task:

    1. Increase the involvement of a wider range of civil society (CS) actors in the democratisation process in Ukraine, with a focus on the actors outside of the capital;

    2. Enhance the capacity of CS actors in their own outreach and engagement with citizens and communities;

    3. Strengthen regional CSOs internal control and governance, development of professional not-for-profit management;

    4. Advance regional and thematic policy dialogue between civil society and relevant stakeholders.

    Results:

    (a) Increased involvement of various CS actors in the democratisation process in Ukraine (37 grants; 25 CSOs of different types involved (charitable funds, NGOs, think tanks, civil initiatives); all regions of Ukraine);

    (b) Enhanced capacity of CS actors to outreach and engage with citizens and communities (4 trainings on communication, 80 persons trained; 20 policy dialogue events conducted by grantees; 400 people participating the events by grantees);

    (c) Strengthened regional CSOs internal control and governance, development of professional not-for-profit management (15 internal policies implemented; 4 trainings on internal control and governance, 80 persons trained);

    (d) Advanced regional and thematic policy dialogue between civil society and relevant stakeholders (2000 readers; 100 regional publications; 20 meetings with stakeholders).
