  • Impact of trade policy on human development: study for Ukraine

    (Code:2009_11)
    Objective: 

    To provide a clear understanding of the characteristics and dynamics underway in service industry—particularly in the context of the crisis.
    Sub-sectors:
    (i)     private cargo land transportation and sea freight;
    (ii)     telecommunication industry (mobile, internet);
    (iii)    hospitality industry (mainly hotels);
    (iv)    and information technology activities/services that have contracts with firms abroad.

    Task:
    • to create the representative database of enterprises and organizations (representatives of service industry) for the survey;
    • to prepare the questionnaire for in-depth interviews;
    • to collect information and data through in-depth interviews with managers of firms; 
    • to prepare the final report on the status and problems of enterprises on service industry in Ukraine based on collected data;
    • to prepare the analytical information about the overall situation on service industry in Ukraine.
    Results:
    • representative database of enterprises and organizations (representatives of service industry) for the survey;
    • questionnaire for in-depth interviews;
    • information and data collected through in-depth interviews with managers of firms; 
    • final report on the status and problems of enterprises on service industry in Ukraine based on collected data;
    • analytical information about the overall situation on service industry in Ukraine.

    • Analytical report on the project results.
