  • Ukraine’s Fifth National Communication on Climate Change

    Objective: 
    • To analyse and evaluate the legal and administrative aspects aimed at reducing emissions and sequestration of greenhouse gases in Ukraine;
    • To develop a forecast of economic development of Ukraine for 2010, 2015 and 2020 years.
    Task:
    • to analyse the legal and administrative aspects, aimed at reducing emissions and sequestration of greenhouse gases in Ukraine;
    • to assess the overall impact of policies and measures to reduce emissions and sequestration of greenhouse gases in the territory of Ukraine, in particular according to art. 2 of Kyoto Protocol;
    • to develop the Ukraine's economic development forecast (forecast GDP growth, energy intensity indicators, real growth in some industries, the volume of production and consumption of primary energy types, etc.) for 2010, 2015 and 2020 years.
    Results:
    • analysis of legal and administrative aspects, aimed at reducing emissions and sequestration of greenhouse gases in Ukraine;
    • assessment of the overall impact of policies and measures to reduce emissions and sequestration of greenhouse gases in the territory of Ukraine, in particular according to art. 2 Kyoto Protocol;
    • Ukraine's economic development forecast (forecast GDP growth, energy intensity indicators, real growth in some industries, the volume of production and consumption of primary energy types, etc.) for 2010, 2015 and 2020 years.
