• Development indicators and indices including regional development indicators: comparative analysis and recommendations for Ukraine

  Objective: 

  To study regional development indices and indicators used by developed countries and their associations.

  Task:

  • to review approaches to the analysis of regional development in the world;
  • to assess development indicators and indices that are used by leading countries and their associations, prepare comparative analysis and conclusions for Ukraine;
  • to develop recommendations for improving evaluation of regional development in Ukraine.
  Results:

  • review of approaches to the analysis of regional development in the world;
  • assessment of development indicators and indices that are used by leading countries and their associations, comparative analysis and conclusions for Ukraine;
  • recommendations for improving evaluation of regional development in Ukraine;
  • presentation of the research results on the section of the regional policy of the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction of Ukraine (February 11, 2009) which were approved by the Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction of Ukraine (March 2, 2009).
