• Mechanism of import duties review in the WTO

  (Code:2008_11)
  Objective: 

  To promote business awareness on the import duty rates in the WTO member states.

  Task:

  • to describe the procedures and consideration of a request to revise the rates of import duty;
  • to review the experience of countries in re-negotiations on revision of import duty rates; 
  • to evaluate the probability of a positive decision on increasing rates of import duty, which were reduced after Ukraine's accession to the WTO; 
  • to give examples of the WTO anti-dumping investigations.
  Results:

  • descriptions of the procedures and consideration of a request to revise the rates of import duty;
  • review of the experience of countries in re-negotiations on revision of import duty rates;
