  Objective: 

  To formulate the model of state policy on external debt obligations in Ukraine on the basis of international best practices.

  Task:

  • to identify common characteristics of debt obligations of foreign countries, including countries with economies in transition;
  • to study international experience of public policy on the external debt obligations;
  • to identify the criteria that ensure economic and national security in the use of external debt obligations; 
  • to formulate the proposals for optimizing the use of external debt obligations in the development and implementation of macroeconomic policies of the budget process.
  Results:

  • identifying common characteristics of debt obligations of foreign countries, including countries with economies in transition;
  • studying international experience of public policy on the external debt obligations;
  • identification of the criteria that ensure economic and national security in the use of external debt obligations;
  • formulation of the proposals for optimising the use of external debt obligations in the development and implementation of macroeconomic policies of the budget process.
