  • “Cost of border” in Black Sea region

    Objective: 
    • Promote free movement of economic resources in selected Black Sea countries (Azerbaidjan, Georgia, Ukraine) by enhancing public discourse on benefits of economic cooperation in the three partner countries (free trade of goods and services, and mobility of people).
    • Strengthen the regional cooperation among the civil society representatives of the region and develop success story for trans-border civil society work.
    • Raise public awareness on free trade and labor resources movement issues.
    Task:
    • Analysis of obstacles to free trade and free movement of people in Ukraine, including desk research (for legislative area) and observation on the area,
    • Advocacy campaign to promote free trade, including (1) a round table discussion with involvement of Entrepreneurship Confederations and civil society representatives in Ukraine, (2) media shoots in local print and online channels, at least one TV session, and (3) participation in a conference in Azerbaijan on the future of Black Sea Region and Eastern Partnership cooperation with respect to development of free trade and to an increase in mobility of people
    Results:

    An increase in public awareness on benefits of free trade and free labor resources movement, as well as in awareness on current trade and visa policy.
