  • Impact of trade policy on human development: study for Ukraine

    Objective: 

    To study the impact of trade policy on human development in Ukraine.

    Task:
    • to review the macroeconomic situation in Ukraine;
    • to review the business climate in Ukraine;
    • to review the policy in trade and investment in Ukraine;
    • to review the internal trade restrictions in Ukraine;
    • to describe the current policy of stimulating exports in Ukraine and the government's intentions;
    • to conduct a special survey on non-tariff barriers;
    • to analyse the human development in sensitive economy sectors;
    • to develop a database of donors dealing with "Aid for Trade”.
    Results:
    • overview of the macroeconomic situation in Ukraine;
    • overview of the business climate in Ukraine;
    • overview of the policy in trade and investment in Ukraine;
    • overview of the internal trade restrictions in Ukraine;
    • description of the current policy of stimulating exports in Ukraine and the government's intentions;
    • special survey on non-tariff barriers;
    • analysis of the human development in sensitive economy sectors;
    • database of donors dealing with "Aid for Trade”.
