  • Update and publication of a policy note to the Ukrainian government providing a conceptual framework on the costs and benefits of various depths of the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine an the European Union

    Objective: 

    To assess economic effects and potential costs and benefits of various depths of the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.

    Task:
    • to assess the recent developments in the negotiation process and changes in the external environment relevant to the FTA negotiations;
    • to reassess, if needed, the earlier analysis of commitments, that Ukraine has already taken under the EU-Ukraine Action Plan and in the context of WTO accession and the potential costs and benefits of deep FTA;
    • to assess the trade relations with the EU in the context of Ukraine’s foreign trade.
    Results:
    • assessment of the recent developments in the negotiation process and changes in the external environment relevant to the FTA negotiations;
