  • New issue of Monthly Economic Monitor Ukraine (MEMU)

The new issue of MEMU No.10 (120) gives an overview of the last month’s main events. Among those are: Ukraine's return to the 1996 Constitution, and growth of inflation up to 10,5%.

Highlight of the month: "State Debt"

In September, Ukraine returned to international capital markets for the first time since 2007 and successfully placed USD 2 bn Eurobonds. The IMF approval of new Stand-By Arrangement for Ukraine, political stability and economic recovery contributed to increased investors’ confidence in the Ukrainian bonds. However, the Eurobonds placement accelerated already high growth rate of external state debt this year, raising some concerns about debt sustainability.
