  • The first IMF loan is of critical importance, the following are more significant for the country’s image

    30.07.2010

On July 30, 2010 in "Glavred media" press center the press conference "IMF and Ukraine: the prospects for further cooperation” took place. Among its participants were Viktor Lisitsky, member of the Council of Entrepreneurs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Oleksandra Betliy, leading researcher of the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting.

During the press conference Oleksandra Betliy said: "Today, considering the negative experience of the last year, the IMF acts very carefully. That is, they will give out the first tranche, and if their requirements are fulfilled, they will provide another one. It is not critical, but if the IMF refuses to give these loans, it will have negative impact on the image of Ukraine, in particular, before investors and other international financial organizations”.
