State Statistics Committee of Ukraine has published official data of winter crops. In this season there were planted 8.4 million hectares of winter grains (last year: 8.1 million hectares), of which 6.7 million hectares is winter wheat (last year: 6.5 million hectares). In the East and South of Ukraine because of the drought during and after the sowing campaign there was lost about half of grains crops (Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, Mykolayiv region). Market agents expect that this spring it should resow 1.5-2 million hectares of spring crops. In Chicago this week grain rally is provided, which will complete this year.
