Growth in agriculture accelerated to 16.6% yoy due to record harvest of most crops. Higher production of meat and eggs resulted in growth of livestock production at 2.4% yoy.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH: Business confidence -Economic sentiments in Ukraine
Large level of uncertainty and vulnerabilities in Ukraine’s economy are reflected in the indicators of economic confidence and expectations. Over recent years the Government has announced and implemented changes in many areas of economic policy. However, during this period the share of “pessimists” was well above the share of “optimists” in both consumer and business surveys. According to the IER Business Tendency Survey the share of enterprises with pessimistic outlook more than doubled in the third quarter of 2011.
