The new issue of MEMU No.12 (122) gives an overview of the last month’s main events. Among those are: Tax Code and settling dispute between NaftoGaz and RosUkrEnergo leading to gradual return of 12.1 bn cubic meters of natural gas.
Highlight of the month: "Tax Code"
The most controversial proposed provisions of draft Tax Code was simplified taxation system (STS). The STS was originally introduced in 1999 for stimulating development of small business. The system for private entrepreneurs envisages payment of flat unified tax up to UAH 200 per months if the annual turnover is lower than UAH 500 000.
