German Advisory Group and the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting have prepared a new analytical study "Ukrainian Machine Building: Strategic options and short term measures in view of trade disruptions with Russia".
The paper presents an unbiased overview of the current situation in the sector, identifies problems faced by domestic machine building in light of recent events in Eastern Ukraine and enforcement of trade restrictions on the part of the Russian Federation. It also provides preliminary recommendations for policy changes of government support machine building sector, which, among other things, should be aimed at more active promotion of domestic products to new markets and investment in the development sector.
